Gardening 101!

We take our gardening VERY seriously! No fooling around now! As you can plainly see we are pretty serious gardeners.

Before getting started in planting your garden you will need the following supplies:

1. Make sure you have your measuring stick that is at least 12 inches long but no longer than 15. If you can't find one, ask around for someone who has a dog, for they more than likely would have a stick laying around...they work very nicely...especially if it has teeth marks in it, then it would be ergonomic!

2. You will need to have a good watering system in place. We were able to find a couple of good watering boys around the vacinity...
They came in very handy and if you need your own, they just might be willing to fill out an application!
3. You will need to find children willing to look like they are having fun. Now it might take some convincing, but in the end you will see that they are really good actors and didn't need too much bribery!! (Actually I really think they enjoyed every minute of it!)

So as you can see from the above pictures, we all had a great time planting the potatoes. Stay tuned for further gardening lessons from the professionals. And remember, kids, don't try this without supervision!

What fun pictures and script. Did you get anything planted yet besides the potatoes? It is a beautiful sun shining day today (finally). It might actually dry up enough that we can plant soon.

Gardening is a special time with families, it brings out laughter and fun memories! Plus every day you get to sit out and look over your families hard work and see whats growing and then keeping it up together for the next 5 months! Cant wait to see pics of your growing garden! P.s. Thanks for your hard work and starting my garden! Your friends Thornocks
