Memorial Day, not just another day, but a special day.

It is the

VETERAN,

not the preacher,

who has given us freedom of religion.

It is

the VETERAN,

not the reporter,

who has given us freedom of the press.

It is

the VETERAN,

not the poet,

who has given us freedom of speech.

It is

the VETERAN,

not the campus organizer,

who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is

the VETERAN,

not the lawyer,

who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is

the VETERAN,

not the politician,

Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the

VETERAN who

salutes the Flag,

It is

the

VETERAN

who serves

under the Flag

I have so much to be thankful for.  Because of those who were willing to give the ultimate gift, their lives so that we may live in this beautiful, God Ordained Country, and NOT take for granted our Freedom.  I am thankful for my loved ones who have served their Country and their God.  Who have taught me to stand up for what is right and to love others as myself.  May I always remember them in everything I do and say.
